Jennifer Aniston’s Secrets to Staying Fit, Fab After 40

jennifer-aniston1Jennifer Aniston is one of the hardest working actresses in Hollywood and when it comes to fitness, she leaves nothing to chance. She’s in the spotlight in her current movie because she’s starring opposite two beauties, Nicole Kidman and model Brooklyn Decker.

Decker, 22, covered the most recent Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue and the movie is being shot in Hawaii, so that means lots of bikini time. So how does the 41-year-old queen of romantic comedy keep up with someone half her age?

“Jen has been getting really wound up with the wardrobe department because her costumes are so skimpy and she’s worried about working with a younger model with a hot body,” a source told London’s Daily Mail.

“She has upped her fitness regime and has had her gym equipment sent to her villa.”

Aniston brought her personal trainer Mandy Ingber, 42, to Hawaii as well.

Jennifer typically works out with Mandy five times a week, doing an 80-minute routine that combines yoga, martial arts and cardio.

Aniston also power-walks twice a day and varies her workouts to stay focused and work different muscle groups, according to OK magazine.

For aerobic exercise, Aniston says she dances; ballroom and salsa are her favorites. She combines that with swimming.

“Three times a week, she swims freestyle for 20 to 40 minutes,” a source said. “She loves that swimming is low-impact and meditative.”

And, she doesn’t get that flat stomach without some pain. Jen also crunches and uses an exercise ball for a wider range of motion.

Finally, Aniston is a longtime adherent of the Zone Diet. She balances carbohydrates (40 percent), protein (30 percent) and fat (30 percent) at every meal.

“Just Go With It” hits theatres on Valentine’s Day 2011.

    • It’s nice when you have the time to workout a different times during the day. I don’t have that kind of time and work 10 to 12 hours a day. Don’t take it wrong, I would love to be her. Since I’m not and have a limited time I inline skate for fitness. It only takes 20 to 30 minutes to work your core, legs, and especially your butt. I do it 3 sometimes 4 times per week.
