Christina Aguilera Lost 35 Lbs on Low Carb Diet, Flaunts Nude Body

Christina Aguilera, who lost 35 pounds on a low-carb diet in 2013, spotlighted her nude pregnant body in a photo spread for V magazine.

In the photos, Christina looks radiant during her second pregnancy.

Sources say Aguilera is making an effort to not gain too much baby weight after making headlines last year for her jaw-dropping weight loss.

Aguilera got so thin she fueled rumors she had an eating disorder or had gotten weight-loss surgery.

The blonde beauty vehemently denied those reports, and insisted she lost weight by following a low-carb diet and doing yoga.

In May 2008, Aguilera lost 40 pounds just four months after giving birth to son Max by combining cardio workouts and weight-lifting for 90 minutes a day, five days a week. She followed a 1,700-calorie-a-day diet that featured protein, vegetables, and whole grains.

Christina said she indulged during her pregnancy, eating all her favorite comfort foods such as baked potato with steak and fried chicken with macaroni and cheese.

Aguilera, who is not a workout fanatic, said regular exercise made her more motivated and confident.

“As you feel your body getting stronger, you become more motivated to be in the gym!” she said. “It doesn’t matter how big or small you are. When you’re defined, I think it’s sexy. I exercise because it makes me feel good.”

Other celebrities who credit low-carb diets for their post-baby weight loss include Megan Fox, who lost all her baby weight in record time on the Paleo diet.

“Clinical trials have shown the Paleo diet is the optimum diet that can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, blood pressure, markers of inflammation, help with weight loss, reduce acne, promote optimum health and athletic performance,” said Dr. Cordain, author of The Paleo Diet for Athletes and The Paleo Diet Cookbook.

Similarly, Kristin Cavallari lost 20 pounds in two months on a low-carb Paleo-style diet that featured grass-fed beef, bison and coconut oil.

Cavallari, a longtime fitness fanatic, said eliminating processed foods (which the Paleo diet emphasizes) was critical for weight loss.

Like other Paleos, Cavallari also avoids dairy, which she said is a major cause of weight gain. “I stay away from dairy for the most part,” she said.
