Trista Rehn Sutter responded to Jay Leno’s diss that she was the most boring “Tonight Show” guest ever by thanking Leno for the shout-out.
However, Trista said she hopes the next time Jay mentions her, he’ll also plug her new book, Happily Ever After: The Life-Changing Power of a Grateful Heart.
Sutter wrote on Twitter: “After 10 yrs, ironic that I’m the topic of convo on @CraigyFerg last show. Thx 4 the shoutout @jayleno! Next time, plz mention my book. ;)
Trista became a topic of interest during Leno’s appearance on the Dec. 19 final episode of Craig Ferguson’s “Late Late Show” after Leno said some of his guests on the “Tonight Show” had bored him to tears (see video):
“The classic example is I had one of these reality stars on… Trista!” Leno recounted. “From one of these ‘Bachelorettes.’ So, I’m sitting and I’m looking at the side of her head. I couldn’t be less interested. I’ve never seen this stupid reality show — you know what it was.”
Jay said he later ran into Sutter in the parking lot, where he forgot who she was. “She goes, ‘Hey, can I have a picture?'” said Leno. “And I go, ‘Sure, what’s your name?'”
Trista met and married firefighter Ryan Sutter on the “Bachelorette” in 2003. The couple, who have two children (Maxwell, 7, and Blakesley, 5) recently celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary.
Sutter is the author of Happily Ever After: The Life-Changing Power of a Grateful Heart, where she said gratitude is the No. 1 secret for success and happiness.
