“Top Chef” beauty Padma Lakshmi flaunted her hot bikini body in a throwback Instagram photo and joked that a friend said she appeared to have a penis in the beach snapshot.
“My friend claims it looks like I have a penis in this pic,” Padma captioned in the throwback bikini photo. “One guess to whether he’s gay or not… #onhismind #tbt.”
However, Lakshmi’s fans didn’t seem to care, gushing, “Who cares?! You’re freakin hot!!!!” Another follower wrote: “You are a goddess!!! Penis or not lol.”
Penis or not, there’s no denying Padma is in fantastic shape, thanks to a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Lakshmi says sticking to a simple weight loss formula helps her lose weight when she’s up a few pounds, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
“I have a little poem that keeps me on track when I need to lose weight: No meat, no sweets, no wheat, no cheese, no alcohol, no fried food,” Lakshmi wrote on her blog. The 5-foot-9 brunette beauty said her “weight loss poem is her secret for dropping pounds easily without working out.
“I followed this regimen for the entire month of October and managed to lose weight without any exercise,” said Padma. “The guidelines are very strict — you can’t eat even a crumb of toast — but it’s a healthy and mindful way to lose weight in a small time frame.
“White meat such as fish, turkey, or chicken breast are acceptable, but there is absolutely no red meat allowed. Small amounts of potatoes or rice are also fine, but it should be kept to a minimum.”
Lakshmi’s other healthy habits are simple home remedies. “I drink a homemade cleanse of two ounces of pure cranberry juice, six ounces of either green tea or plain water, one Emergen-C Vitamin C packet, and a teaspoon of fiber powder three times a day,” she revealed. “I also drink two to three liters of water a day.”
Lakshmi, who has gained and lost the same 15 pounds every year since 2006 as the host of Top Chef, is a pro at weight loss.
“I usually gain between 10 and 15 pounds over six weeks each season,” said Padma. “Then I spend 12 weeks working it off. But it’s worth it. When the timer goes off and the food is ready, I’m really excited to eat.”
In addition to her dietary discipline, it helps that Padma is a fitness fanatic who typically exercises several days a week for 45 to 120 minutes per session.
Lakshmi, author of the cookbook Tangy Tart Hot and Sweet, boxes, runs on the treadmill and lifts weights to maintain her age-defying bikini body.
