Khloe Kardashian Is On Weight Loss Mission: Works Out After 10-Pound Weight Gain

Khloe posted an Instagram photo from the gym on Feb. 3, where she worked out with longtime fitness trainer, Gunnar Peterson.

“Burning calories and beating ass today!!! I was in one of those moods,” Kardashian wrote in the caption as she boxed with Peterson, who also trains Khloe’s sister, Kim Kardashian.

Peterson, creator of Gunnar’s Core Secrets exercise video, said Khloe’s workouts include cardio exercise, plyometric pushups, hauling a sled, dead lifts, resistance bands and ab exercises. When she’s not at the gym, Kardashian hikes and does Pilates.

Khloe recently joked that her weight gain was “sympathy weight,” saying she ate a lot more than usual because sister Kourtney was pregnant with her third child.

In January 2014, Khloe revealed she lost 30 pounds by working out four to five days a week doing boxing and lots of cardio exercise, Examiner reported. Khloe’s sister, Kim, is a fan of waist training.

Kim did waist training in the weeks leading up to her May 2014 wedding to regain her signature hourglass figure, Examiner reported.

While it may sound odd, waist-training, or the “Corset Diet,” is a weight loss trend some women use to slim down their midsection.

The Corset Diet can help women lose up to six inches from their waists, said Vanna B, author of Waist Training 101.

Actress Jessica Alba has credited wearing double corsets around the clock for three months for her dramatic post-baby weight loss.

Similarly, Brooke Burke Charvet, creator of the Transform Your Body workout DVD, said wearing a corset was responsible for her stunning post-baby weight loss after each of her four pregnancies.

“Wrapping your post-partum belly is a concept that has been around for centuries,” said Burke, who has her own line of belly wraps called Baboosh.

Charvet added: “It works as a compression garment. It helps the swelling of the uterus go back down to its original size and it supports all that baggy baby skin. It is a great, great way to get back in shape.”
