Watch Mama June Do Stripper Pole Dance: Honey Boo’s Mama Wants Weight Loss Surgery

Mama June credits her 120-pound weight loss to a low-carb ketogenic-style diet.

Mama June Shannon wants to get weight loss surgery after her recent strip club gig, where she pole-danced. In 2013, Honey Boo Boo’s mom lost 120 pounds on a low-carb diet.

Honey Boo Boo’s mother, Mama June Shannon, wants to get lap band weight loss surgery this summer after recently losing 45 pounds.

Mama June worked a Florida strip club last weekend, where she did a pole dance (see video).

Honey Boo Boo’s mother received $5,500 for a two-hour appearance at the Crazy Horse Gentleman’s Club in Pompano Beach, Florida, Examiner reported.

Mama June, who’s bisexual, did not strip, but did work the stripper pole and cheerfully posed alongside other dancers.

Mama June plans to get lap band surgery soon to lose 50 more pounds with lap band surgery because she has plateaued with her weight loss efforts doing just diet and exercise, said a source.

Honey Boo Boo’s mom recently lost 45 pounds through diet and exercise.  Mama June reportedly weighs 276 pounds and wants to slim down to 226 pounds.

In 2013, Mama June lost 120 pounds on a low-carb diet. Low carb diets such as the Atkins, ketogenic and Atkins diets promote rapid weight loss by forcing the body to burn fat for fuel, according to obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, author of Keto Clarity.

Obesity expert Dr. Jeff Volek, author of New Atkins for a New You, has followed the low-carb ketogenic diet for the past 20 years. He agrees the low-carb, high-fat Atkins and ketogenic diets accelerate weight loss, improve mood, reverse type 2 diabetes, and prevent diseases such as Alzheimer’s and cancer.

“It was nothing short of an epiphany when I changed to a ketogenic diet 20 years ago,” Dr. Volek, author of the “Art and Science of Low-Carbohydrate Living,” told me. “I felt better, more satiated, and had more consistent energy.”
