Former Punky Brewster star Soleil Moon Frye said her 40-pound weight loss and hot bikini body was due to the Nutrisystem diet.
Frye, a mom of three, said losing weight has made her look and feel better than she has in years, Examiner reported.
Soleil, who starred on the TV show “Punky Brewster” from 1984 to 1998, lost 5 pounds in the first week after using the Nutrisystem Fast 5 plan. It’s the same diet plan singer Marie Osmond used to lose 50 pounds.
“I’ve always been a big fan of sweets,” said Soleil. “Who wants to give that up when dieting? Not me! That’s another reason why Nutrisystem worked so well. I didn’t have to give up dessert!”
General Hospital star Genie Francis also credited Nutrisystem for her 30-pound weight loss at age 52, as Celebrity Health and Fitness previously reported.
While hot celebrity moms like Megan Fox and Kim Kardashian lost weight by following the low-carb Paleo and ketogenic Atkins diets, Soleil said her diet is not low-carb.
Frye said she loves the convenience of the Nutrisystem program. What’s more, she can still eat dinner with her family.
“We’re a family, we eat together,” said Soleil. “I’m losing weight the healthy way. I need to lead by example. I’m not going to starve myself in front of my kids.”
Soleil also works out regularly with a trainer and leads an active lifestyle, which includes walking, biking, dancing and running after her children. Other celebrities who have lost weight on the Nutrisystem diet include Marie Osmond, who lost 50 pounds, and Melissa Joan Hart, who lost 40 pounds.
