Hilaria Baldwin Baby Weight Loss Secrets: Vegan Diet and Yoga Workouts

Hilaria Baldwin, the wife of actor Alec Baldwin, showed off her hot bikini body and stunning post-baby weight loss just two weeks after giving birth to her second child.

Hilaria, a yoga teacher, posted several bikini selfies on Instagram, looking as gorgeous and fit as ever, thanks to daily yoga workouts and a mostly vegan diet.

Hilaria exercises every day, usually doing yoga, taking Physique 57 body-sculpting classes, running or walking, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

“I do some exercise every day,” said Baldwin. “I go to NYC’s Physique 57 (for classes) nearly every day unless I’m working or tired. I walk a lot, and early on [in my pregnancy] I went jogging — I’m a runner. I teach myself yoga every day.”

On an Instagram post, Baldwin revealed she’s writing a fitness book, where she’ll share her diet and weight loss secrets.

“You can be healthy and splurge too,” Baldwin wrote. “Reading some of the comments makes me think that you feel you cannot do both. I went for a nice dinner last night and had coconut sorbet (my favorite) after and also a glass of wine.”

Hilaria continued: “This morning, I woke up and had a green smoothie with almond butter (super-filling). It’s all about planning for the splurge moments!”

Hilaria follows a mostly vegan diet, but occasionally eats fish. Her Instagram account is filled with photos of her plant-based meals, which include lots of salads and green smoothies. Baldwin also works out daily.

Baldwin said she plans to raise her children on a vegan diet at home, but will allow them to eat more flexibly when they go to a friend’s house or birthday party, Examiner reported.

The anti-aging health and weight loss effects of a vegan diet are no surprise to Dr. David Katz, director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center.

“A diet of minimally processed foods close to nature — predominantly plants — is decisively associated with health promotion and disease prevention,” said Dr. Katz, author of Disease-Proof.

Dr. Neal Barnard agrees. “Studies suggest that free radicals [toxic molecules that form in the body] contribute to aging,” said Barnard, author of 21-Day Weight Loss Kickstart. “A vegan diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, is full of antioxidants which help protect the body from damage by free radicals.”

  • Diet is actually what matters if you are looking to lose real weight, a lot of people swear by running and what not but if you want to see huge change fast you would have to make a lot of effort and a spare a lot of time for exercising while keeping not right eating habbit, its not effective….,.,.
    i started doing venus diet found on hop-reviews dot com.. its good diet and not so hard, loosing weight goes faster than i thought, i just started exercising in a gym recently just to form my body to a better shape..
    now the compliments im getting are helping me to keep motivated :):)

    kudos to her for living a healthy lifestyle! I would suggest, however, that her age is an equal if not more significant contributor to her recovery at this point in her life…she’s 31 years old.
