Jessica Biel’s Weight Loss After Baby Stuns: Her Paleo Diet, Yoga and CrossFit Workout Tips

Jessica Biel flaunted her dramatic post-baby weight loss at the 2015 EMA Awards in Los Angeles. Jessica looked elegant in a form-fitting black dress that accentuated her slender waist.

Two days earlier, Jessica looked fit in a teal pencil dress at the 2015 Night Of Stars Gala in New York. Jessica’s post-baby weight loss secret is an organic Paleo-inspired diet, Examiner reported.

Biel credited Paleta, a Paleo-based meal delivery service, for her rapid weight loss after giving birth to son Silas in April 2015.

Jessica’s trainer said breastfeeding and intense exercise were instrumental in her speedy weight loss. Biel, a longtime fitness fanatic, stays fit with CrossFit workouts, yoga, sprints and weightlifting, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

The athletic Biel has always been outdoorsy and athletic. For cardio exercise, Jessica usually jogs for a half-mile and then does sprint intervals of 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter sprints. Biel also lifts weights to keep her muscles lean.

“I’ve always been physical,” said Jessica, who’s married to singer Justin Timberlake. “I have no concept of what life is like without physical activity.”

Biel embraces an organic Paleo-style diet that limits processed foods. “Fermented veggies and probiotics are also great for my skin and digestion,” said Biel. “You can also buy shredded fermented vegetables at a health food store and sprinkle them over a salad or even eggs in the morning.”

Research shows the Paleo diet promotes natural weight loss, reduces blood pressure, and prevents cancer, diabetes, heart disease, depression, and even Alzheimer’s.

A recent study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition indicates Paleo  is twice as effective as other diets for promoting weight loss and reducing belly fat.

“Clinical trials have shown the Paleo diet is the optimum diet that can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, blood pressure, markers of inflammation, help with weight loss, reduce acne, promote optimum health and athletic performance,” said Loren Cordain, author of The Real Paleo Diet Cookbook.

Fitness expert Robb Wolf, a former biochemist, agrees. Studies show limiting sugar, refined carbs and processed foods can reverse type 2 diabetes, prevent heart disease and accelerate weight loss, said Wolf, author of the bestselling Paleo Solution.

Other celebrities who follow the Paleo diet and do CrossFit include Jessica Alba, Kellan Lutz and Joe Manganiello, as Celebrity Health & Fitness previously reported. Similarly, singer Tim McGraw lost 40 pounds and got rippling eight-pack abs with a low-carb Paleo diet and CrossFit workouts.

Biel doesn’t deprive herself, and says portion control is her No. 1 weight loss secret. “Eat things you like, but in smaller portions,” said Jessica.
