Hillary Clinton has been busy pandering to African-American and other voters in a desperate attempt to fend off her likable rival Bernie Sanders.
Along the way, Hillary has repeatedly apologized for her “white privilege” and told voters she’s just like them — all while sporting a fancy $600 haircut.
“White Americans need to do a better job of listening when African-Americans talk about the seen and unseen barriers that you face every day,” Clinton said in Harlem Feb. 16. “We need to recognize our privilege and practice humility rather than assume that our experiences are everyone’s experiences.”
But even as she insists she’s “Down With The People,” Hillary lives like a rock star, flying around in private jets with over $110 million in the joint bank account she shares with husband Bill Clinton.
In July 2015, Clinton closed down Bergdorf Goodman in New York to get an overpriced haircut at the exclusive John Barrett Salon, as Celebrity Health Fitness previously reported.
Hillary is a regular client of John Barrett, who typically charges $600 for a haircut. Barrett charges an additional $600 for a dye job, which Hillary always gets.
“Staff closed off one side of Bergdorf’s so Hillary could come in privately to get her hair done,” said a source. “An elevator bank was shut down so she could ride up alone and then she was styled in a private area of the salon.”
This isn’t a the first time a Clinton haircut has made headlines. In 1993, Hillary’s husband Bill, who was then president of the United States, had Air Force One idling at Los Angeles International Airport for an hour while he got a $200 trim.
Bill’s haircut was called the “most expensive haircut in the world” for forcing two surrounding LAX runways to be shut down, diverting numerous flights.
In 2014, Hillary raised eyebrows after telling ABC News she and Bill were “dead broke” when they left the White House in 2001.
“We came out of the White House not only dead broke, but in debt,” said Clinton. “We had no money and we struggled to piece together the resources for mortgages, for houses, for Chelsea’s education. It was not easy.”
Shillary failed to disclose that she had received an $8 million book advance for her memoir Living History shortly before leaving the White House.
The Clintons also bought two homes (for a combined $4.5 million) shortly before Bill’s presidency was up. It seems living high on the hog for most folks is “dead broke” to Hillary.
