Kristin Cavallari looked gorgeous in new Instagram photos that showcased her 20-pound Paleo diet weight loss.
In one selfie, Kristin wore a black turtleneck and striped mini-shirt accented by sexy thigh-high boots. In another, Cavallari showed off her toned backside as she posed on an oceanside patio.
Judging by her model-skinny body, it’s hard to believe Kristin gave birth to her third child in November 2015. As she did with her first two pregnancies, Cavallari lost 20 pounds less than 2 months post-delivery.
Kristin’s weight loss secrets are a low carb, Paleo-style diet and gym workouts that include Pilates, weightlifting and cardio exercise, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
Cavallari exercises 30 to 45 minutes, four to five days a week, incorporating Pilates, weightlifting, cardio and lots of squats and lunges.
Kristin is a fan of the Paleo diet, which limits processed foods and emphasizes high-quality proteins like grass-fed beef and bison.
“I’m a freak about what I put in my mouth,” said Cavallari. “I’m constantly reading labels and I don’t eat any toxic chemicals, so I think that plays a huge role.”
Cavallari’s breakfast is usually a smoothie or eggs, while lunch is a salad or turkey sandwich. For afternoon snacks, Kristin has nuts with dried cherries or an apple with almond butter.
Kristin Cavallari also eats plenty of healthy, Paleo-approved fats like olive oil, avocados, and coconut oil.
“I also love avocados with olive oil and sea salt and I put coconut oil in or on everything,” said Cavallari, who shares her weight loss, diet and success secrets in her book, Balancing In Heels.
Other celebrities who follow the Paleo diet include Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel. Both credited a low carb, Paleo based diet for their rapid post-baby weight loss.
Weight loss expert Esther Blum, author of Cavewomen Don’t Get Fat, said Paleo doesn’t emphasize calorie restriction and provides a healthy balance of protein, vegetables and high-quality fats that help women navigate hormone fluctuations.
