Kim Kardashian Rocks 60 Pound Weight Loss On Vogue Cover: Low Carb Diet And Exercise Tips

Kim Kardashian showed off her 60-pound weight loss on Instagram while boarding a glamorous private jet.

In the photo, Kardashian wore corn rows in her hair, a white tank top, and a white skirt that accentuated her tiny waist and bangin’ post-baby body.

The 5-foot-2 Kim, who weighs 139 pounds, topped the scales at over 200 pounds while pregnant.

Kardashian’s weight loss secrets were the low carb, high-fat Atkins diet and rigorous workouts, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

Kim, who gave birth to her second child in December 2015, is now just 4 pounds away from her pre-pregnancy weight of 135 pounds. She proudly flaunted her bangin’ body on the latest cover of Australian Vogue (see photo).

Kardashian lost over 60 pounds during the past 5 months with the low carb Atkins diet that limited her daily carb intake to 40 net grams.

In 2014, Kim lost 56 pounds in 6 months with an Atkins diet that limited her daily carb intake to less than 60 grams, Examiner reported.

Low carb, high-fat diets like the Atkins and ketogenic diets promote rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said Laura Childs, author of Low Carb High Fat No Hunger Diet.

Laura lost 55 pounds with a low carb, high-fat ketogenic Paleo diet, while her daughter shed 55 pounds, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

Reducing carbs and eating more healthy fats accelerates weight loss and ensures consistent energy, explained Dr. Ludwig, author of Always Hungry? Conquer Cravings, Retrain Your Fat Cells, and Lose Weight Permanently.

In addition to the Atkins diet, Kim Kardashian also exercised regularly and wore a waist trainer several hours a day to narrow her waist. Kim’s workouts include weightlifting and lots of squats and lunges to tone her butt.

For cardio exercise, Kim Kardashian does fat-blasting workouts on the treadmill or the elliptical trainer.

Kim said looking at old bikini photos reminds her that she lost the weight before, and can do it again.

“It’s not easy,” said Kardashian. “I gained a lot of weight. I’m doing the Atkins diet … I just started working out really hard and I think that the mix of the two will help this last 20 pounds fly off.”
