Adriana Lima Is A Paleo Goddess: Her Diet, Exercise And Anti-Aging Beauty Secrets

Adriana Lima flaunted her supermodel body at the amfAR Gala during the 2016 Cannes Film Festival in France.

Adriana looked glamorous in a black evening gown that exposed her back. Lima was accompanied on the red carpet by her boyfriend Joe Thomas, who looked handsome in a black tuxedo.

Looking at her youthful glow and supermodel body, it’s hard to believe Adriana is the mom of two young children.

Adriana, who lost weight in record time after her two pregnancies, said her weight loss secrets are a low carb Paleo diet and boxing workouts, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

Lima admits she works hard to maintain her hot bikini body. “I work out and I look after myself,” she said. “It’s my job.”

Adriana, who has been a Victoria’s Secret Angel since 2000, trains with former boxer Michael Olajide, author of Sleekify: The Supercharged No-Weights Workout.

Olajide, who helped Lima lose weight after her two pregnancies, said her workouts combine muscle-sculpting moves with cardio exercise and shadow-boxing.

But exercise is only part of the equation for getting a bangin’ bikini body. The 5-foot-10 Lima, who weighs 135 pounds, follows a low carb Paleo diet that’s low in sugar.

Adriana’s diet features high-quality proteins like grilled meat and chicken, and she snacks on low-sugar fruits like blueberries and blackberries. She’s also drinks plenty of hydrating coconut water throughout the day.

The Paleo diet works well for women because it reduces the blood-sugar spikes and hormone surges that fuel overeating, mood swings and weight gain, said Esther Blum, author of Cavewomen Don’t Get Fat.

Paleo has a huge celebrity following, including Megan Fox, Jessica Biel and Jessica Alba.

Studies indicate the Paleo diet promotes weight loss and prevents cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and Alzheimer’s, said Danielle Walker, author of Against All Grain: Delectable Paleo Recipes.

Adriana Lima’s beauty secrets include not over-washing her hair, and making sure she eats plenty of antioxidant-rich foods like vegetables and blueberries.

“Everything that goes in to your body is going to show up on the outside,” Lima said.

“If you want your hair to grow faster, you can take flax seed oil or a flax seed pill. It will make your hair super-shiny and it’s going to grow fast.”

Lima said she uses Maybelline Push Up Mascara to get super-long lashes and relies on Maybelline Color Blur to make her juicy lips pop.

To maintain her lush locks, Adriana doesn’t blowdry or over-clean her hair. “If you have dry hair, don’t wash every day,” said Lima.
