Melissa Joan Hart Rocks Bikini Body After 40 Pound Weight Loss On Nutrisystem Diet

Melissa Joan Hart celebrated her 40th birthday in Punta Cana, where she showed off her hot bikini body and 40-pound weight loss.

Hart maintains her weight loss with the Nutrisystem diet, and said she feels as good now as she did at 20.

“I can’t believe I’m 40!” said Melissa. “I still feel like I’m in my 20s. I have so much energy and have never felt this confident. 40 seems to be my lucky number!”

To usher in her 40th birthday, Hart shared vacation photos from Punta Cana on Instagram. “Big thanks to Nutrisystem and their Shake360 program for keeping me beach ready!” Melissa wrote.

Hart, who lost 40 pounds in 2014 with Nutrisystem, has maintained her weight loss for two years a low carb diet and cardio barre workouts, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

Melissa limited pasta, rice, bread and potatoes on her diet and exercised daily by running, spinning, and doing cardio barre workouts.

Low carb diets such as the ketogenic and Atkins diets promote rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.

Dr. David Ludwig, a physician and nutrition professor at Harvard University, agrees.

Dr. Ludwig himself lost 20 pounds in 3 months without feeling hungry or counting calories with a low-carb diet.

Melissa Joan Hart doesn’t starve or deprive herself, and regularly enjoys her favorite foods such as pizza and cake.

In addition to looking great in a bikini, Hart’s weight loss has improved her life in every way.

“I want be a good example for my children,” said Melissa. “I’m a happy, healthy and active part of my family. There’s nothing better.”
