Julianne Hough Rocks Bikini Body: Weight Loss Diet, Yoga Workout, Exercise Secrets

Julianne Hough flaunted her hot bikini body on Instagram (see video), and looks fitter than ever following her 20-pound weight loss.

Julianne, who gained 20 pounds in 2012, lost the weight with a portion-controlled diet, yoga, cardio exercise and dance workouts, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

The “Dancing with the Stars” alum confessed she gains weight when she slacks off her diet and exercise routine, saying her metabolism has slowed down with age.

While Julianne, 28, says she hates exercising at the gym, she enjoys cardio dance workouts to burn calories and torch fat.

Hough typically works out four to five days a week doing a combination of cardio exercise and body sculpting with free weights, such as the Tracy Anderson method.

Julianne usually starts off by doing 30 minutes of cardio on the treadmill, elliptical trainer, or the stationary bike, followed by light weight-lifting.

When she’s not at the gym, Hough runs 30 to 45 minutes on most days.

“There are certain areas of the body that dancing won’t tone, so I still stretch and do crunches, lunges, and arm moves just about every day,” said Hough.

Hough also released her own exercise DVDs, including Dance with Julianne: Cardio Ballroom and Dance with Julianne Two Disc Workout Set.

Julianne Hough left “Dancing with the Stars” in 2008 to pursue a country music career and is determined to succeed as a singer and actress. “I know what I’m capable of, and I don’t ever want to sell myself short,” said Hough, who’s engaged to hockey player Brooks Laich.
