Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, showcased her 55-pound weight loss and fit physique at the Starlite Gala in Marbella, Spain.

Sarah looked glamorous in a body-hugging black evening gown that spotlighted her small waist.

Ferguson, who was once mocked as the “Duchess of Pork,” lost 55 pounds in 2014 with diet and exercise.

Sarah’s weight loss secrets were a sugar-free diet, hiking and running workouts.

Avoiding sugar is the one thing that will make the biggest difference in your health, said obesity expert Diane Sanfilippo, author of The 21-Day Sugar Detox.

Since losing weight Ferguson no longer avoids sugar completely, but follows a low-sugar diet.

Sarah, 56, decided to overhaul her diet and start exercising daily after getting frustrated with her dowdy appearance and poor health.

Ferguson said being overweight made her feel helpless and like she was “drowning” in food.

Ferguson, who has battled weight issues all her life, was hurt by the cruel media fat-shaming she endured every time she was photographed at a public event.

The 5-foot-8 Sarah, who once tipped the scales at more than 200 pounds, followed a sugar-free diet and ran every day, either outdoors or on a treadmill.

In a few months, she shed 55 pounds and has maintained that weight loss since then.

Reducing sugar intake accelerates weight loss and prevents aging (including wrinkles), say fitness experts.

Sugar is has no redeeming health benefit, is addictive, and is a leading cause of early death, said Sarah Wilson, author of I Quit Sugar.

Now that she’s thinner and healthier, Sarah Ferguson said she is committed to helping fight the global obesity epidemic.

Ferguson revealed her weight loss, diet and happiness tips in her book, Finding Sarah: A Duchess’s Journey to Find Herself.
