Romee Strijd Tells All About Her Victoria’s Secret Diet, Workout Tips (11 Photos!)

Romee Strijd is one of the latest models to join the elite ranks of Victoria’s Secret Angels. The 21-year-old Dutch model revealed the diet and workout tips that got her there. She says it’s all about finding the perfect balance for a health-conscious lifestyle.

The 21-year-old Dutch model has always been open about her diet and workout routines. She regularly posts her tips on social media for her fans.

Romee confesses that she’s a “foodie.” She loves to cook and to eat! She’s not above having “fun meals” with friends and she’s been known to whip up gourmet dishes even with her constantly changing schedule and crazy work hours, according to Glamour.

“I think the most important thing for women on-the-go is to be prepared,” she tells the magazine. “I really like to prepare my day the night before if I know the next day is going to be hectic.

“Brussels sprouts and butternut roasted in the oven, paired with chicken and hummus is my favorite. I’ll also make sure to bring healthy snacks or make a lunch/dinner box if I am getting on a plane. I’m not a huge fan of airline food,” she adds.

For a quick snack, she’ll whip up a healthy banana bread slice it up and store it in the fridge. “I always throw one slice in my bag on the way out,” she explains.

Modeling lingerie and swimsuits for Victoria’s Secret requires her to be in tip-top shape.

“I like to do a mix of weight training/cardio and something that lengthens your muscles, like Pilates, yoga, or barre,” she says.

“My favorite cardio workout is definitely boxing. When I am traveling, I like to pack a jump rope and ankle weights in my suitcase,” she advises.

When it comes to working out, half the battle for her is getting to the gym. Winter mornings make morning gym sessions a serious struggle, she revealed on Instagram.

Her solution is to get a workout buddy (or two) to help you get up and go.

Victoria’s Secret model Jasmine Tookes is one of those buddies.

“Sometimes, when I don’t feel like working out, she’ll push me to go, and the same can be said the other way around. It also helps to plan a fun breakfast or lunch after a workout as something to look forward to,” she advises.

When in doubt while dining out, she says pick the greenest thing on the menu. Add a boiled egg to your breakfast for an extra jolt of protein.

Attitude is also important, she says.

“Do what makes you happy. I think the most attractive thing to see is a woman who is happy. For me, I feel happy and healthy when I am cooking for friends and family and enjoy a long dinner with nice conversations.”

The willowy 5-foot, 11-inch tall model signed with DNA Model Management when she was 16. She was an instant hit on the runway and has walked for a slew of top brands.

She’s also appeared in fashion spreads for European editions of Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire and Madame Figaro magazines.

She debuted for Victoria’s Secret in 2914 and was named an Angel the following year.
