Maria Menounos, the sexy host of entertainment show “Extra,” offers up her formula for a happy, healthy relationship. But it takes work. And beware, she advises, her advice is brutally honest.
If her philosophy can be summed up in a sentence it would be stay super supportive of your girlfriend, boyfriend or spouse.

“When it comes to your relationships, support your partners, girlfriends and wives in their lives, dreams and careers as strongly as you would support your best friend,” she writes in the December issue of Men’s Fitness magazine.
“And speaking of that, if your girlfriend or wife isn’t your best friend, then she shouldn’t be your romantic partner either,” she adds.
The 34-year-old actress and television host had a Catholic upbringing. She grew up in Massachusetts, the daughter of Greek immigrant parents and speaks Greek fluently. She attended school at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church and competed in several beauty pageants as a teen.
She’s had a successful career, but says her advice also applies to social life as well. “Guys, if your girl wants you to take her out to someplace special or visit with her parents do it,” she writes. “As for your girlfriends, wives and partners, they need to reciprocate.”
On the all important subject of love and sex, Menounos says romance works on her every time. “We as women still love to be romanced and seduced,” she advises. Pleasing, she says, is a two way street.
It doesn’t hurt to be fit either. Partners just can’t ‘quit’ when they get together,” she adds. Maria practices what she preaches; she has one of the hottest bodies in television.
