Olivia Wilde made her first pubic appearance after news broke about her pregnancy Sunday (Oct. 27) and she looked glowing on the red carpet at the 2013 International Women’s Media Foundation’s Courage in Journalism Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Wilde, 29, has been in good spirits about the arrival of her first child, which reportedly wasn’t planned.
“I am not trying to have kids now – there’s no strict plan for anything in my life,” she told Marie Claire magazine earlier this year.
She got engaged to her baby daddy Jason Sudeikis, 38, in January and talked about wanting a long engagement before getting married. Both have been married twice previously.
“It’s funny, people tend to skip over the engagement thing. They think it’s like, ‘oh, engaged.’ And then you get there. I don’t think you should spend your entire engagement planning a wedding. Because it’s fun. It’s this great time. It’s like dating-plus,” Wilde told reporters at the Toronto Film Festival.
“For me, a wedding should just be the best weekend of everyone’s life. Like, everyone’s there. Not just your life. It should be something that everyone remembers. I would like people to laugh a lot and dance a lot. That’s it!” she added.
Whether a baby-on-board changes things remains to be seen. But Wilde was clearly showing the beginning of a baby bump at the Courage Awards event.
She hit the red carpet alone wearing a white, printed Cushnie Et Ochs dress, Jimmy Choo shoes, Stephen Webster cuff and Clelia clutch.
Wilde told reporters she is “feeling good” so far in her pregnancy, with no signs of morning sickness. And, she’s been lighthearted about it.
“Babies eat mostly salsa right?” she wrote on Twitter when the news broke that she was expecting.
She said she is “open-minded” about how many children she might have, “but three, which I love, is like a little party.”
A source told People, the couple is “incredibly happy.”
They’re very excited to welcome a new member into their family,” the source said.
