Actress Halle Berry’s rumored pregnancy has almost become an urban legend, it’s been repeated so much.

So Halley, 43, recently has gone on the offensive to dispel the idea, at least for the time being.

She showed up Thursday night at the “Keep A Child Alive Annual 2009 Black Ball” at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. She was wearing a stunning, low-cut black cutaway dress that left no doubt that Halle isn’t sporting a baby bump.

Berry attended with her toddler Nahla’s father and boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry.

Ironically, “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi was also there and proudly showed off her burgeoning baby bump. But she was still mum about the father.

Berry and boyfriend Gabriel were also spotted at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Saturday morning and later  Berry was spotted coming and going at a medical building in Beverly Hills. She did not talk to reporters, and her reason for being there is unknown.

Could she be pregnant?  No, no, don’t go there.

Berry has been knocking down the pregnancy rumor for a couple of weeks now. She appeared on Jay Leno’s show and brought it up immediately.

As soon as Leno told her how good she looked, she replied, “I was getting a complex,”.she said about the rumors. “I have to stop with the burgers.”

Berry has been promoting her recently released fragrance, her first, called Halle by Halle Berry. “When I was younger, I never wanted to smell like every other girl in class. Even as an adult, I’d mix different perfumes together,” she has said.

Berry is also prominently featured in a new book, “Divas on Screen: Black Women in American Film.”

The book notes that Dorothy Dandridge was the first black woman nominated for a Best Actress Oscar, but Berry was the first black actress to win the award nearly half a century later.
