Cindy Crawford, one of the original supermodels, still manages to look fabulous at 43, but she now admits she’s had a little help. Crawford has used botox to smooth out her wrinkles, which seems a little disingenuous since she also hawks a skin care line.
Crawford quit modeling nine years ago and now has her own range of beauty products. Botox, however, isn’t among the products.
The mother of two says she has never gone under the knife for plastic surgery, but confesses she’s visited a London cosmetic surgeon for several years to have the wrinkle-reducing injections.
“There’s a doctor here in London who I’ve gone to for Botox. I did a whole skincare line with him. But I haven’t done Botox for ten years. And I didn’t do collagen, I don’t think,” said Crawford, who is married to ex-model and businessman Rande Gerber, 47.
Crawford’s made the revelation in a wide-ranging interview with columnist Piers Morgan of UK newspaper The Daily Mail.
She has considered plastic surgery, but so far has decided not to go under the knife because other women have come out of surgery looking ‘unreal’.
“Because people have such expectations of what they are going to find when they see me, that brings added pressure to fight the ageing process,” she said in an interview, to be published in the UK version of GQ magazine this week.
“I mean, don’t get me wrong, I think I’m holding together pretty good,” she said.
The supermodel and her husband are on vacation in Mexico with George Clooney and his latest girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis. Crawford, who is 12 years older than 31-year-old Canalis, could have been mistaken for her twin, according to onlookers.
Clooney and the Gerber-Crawfords have been friends for years, and are often spotted together on the Clooney’s yacht on the French Riviera or at his Lake Como home in Italy.
Clooney went to bat for Gerber in May when Geber was accused of sexually harassing two waitresses who worked for his company, the Gerber Group.
The women claimed they were fired for rejecting Gerber’s advances. But Clooney was with him the night of the alleged incident and took a lie detector test to help prove the claims untrue.
It is really sad that she has to resort to such lies. She denied having botox and wanted the public to believe it was her skin products. She was money hungry
It will catch up to her. Beauty fades and what is on the inside stays around.
It doesn’t even look like her anymore. Why would anyone buy in to this complete BS?
