Kelly Osbourne's Secret to NY Fashion Week Shape (video)

kelly-osbourneKelly Osbourne has gone through a stunning metamorphosis, from spoiled rock and roll spawn to stunning woman. She was a hit at New York Fashion Week, where she debuted a new look. Now she reveals how she slimmed down.

Osborne once claimed she never wanted to be skinny, but secretly battled her weight for years. But the 25-year-old daughter of metal rocker Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne has left her wild childhood behind.

She says the secret behind her transformation has been to nibble on half an apple shortly before bed.

Osbourne lost almost 28 pounds while appearing last year on Dancing With The Stars. She expected to regain the weight after the competition ended, but she has in fact continued to slim down.

“I’ve completely changed the way I eat since doing ‘Dancing With The Stars,’” she told Life & Style magazine.

“A trick I’ve learned is to eat just a little bit of something that has no carbs and no sugar in it before you go to sleep because it keeps your metabolism going,” she said revealing her secret.

“They say you should never eat before you go to bed, but I’ve found just having a tiny little snack, like half an apple or something like that, before you go to sleep really helps,” she added.

In fact, an apple is a carbohydrate which is full of natural sugar.

The diet has taken Osbourne from a size 14, who weighed about 165 pounds at her heaviest, to her current size of about 118 pounds.

Her low-glycemic diet means no potatoes or sugar, and yes to fruits and vegetables. “I can do the real no sugar because I don’t have really a big sweet tooth, but the carbs thing is killing me!” she said. She’s also been eating a lot of turkey burgers.

She’s also kept up her dancing routines, and has added Pilates to burn calories. Don’t underestimate the power of a personal trainer and nutritionist.

“Pilates is amazing, my posture is so much better and I’m even starting to get muscles on my tummy; it’s incredible,” she has said.
