Want Jersey Shore Look? Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino to Pen Book

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is taking a page from reality star Betheney Frankel’s playbook; he wants to cash in on his reality TV notoriety with a self-help book about looking and feeling your best.

Sorrentino, 28, is a fitness club manager and personal trainer from Staten Island, N.Y., who became famous after starring on the hit MTV reality show, “The Jersey Shore.”

Like Frankel build a fan base and you can sell them virtually anything.

Frankel, an organic food chef, wrote a best-selling diet book called “Naturally Thin.” Now she’s branching out to self-help with a book based on her dysfunctional childhood.

The Situation is hoping to parlay his 15 minutes of fame into a mini-brand that’ll include a clothing line, exercise DVDs and other fitness products.

Sorrentino’s book, which will be called “Here’s the Situation,” will be published by Gotham Books in November 2010, reports the NYPost.

Mike is also working on an fitness DVD and vitamin supplements to help fans achieve his ripped physique.

Similarly Sorrentino’s co-star, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, was recently a paid representative for the Cookie Diet, which she claims helped her lose 10 pounds in three weeks.

Meanwhile, MTV recently announced that the “Jersey Shore” cast has resolved its contract dispute, with everyone returning for Season 3 except for Angelina Pivarnick.

Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Jenni “J Woww” Farley, Snooki, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Vinny Guadagnino will all be back to share more of their GTL love.

Sorrentino says reality TV is just the beginning.

“This is just a way into the door for me,” he says. “Reality is a stepping stone for me. Being one of the biggest names in reality or the country or the world or whatever, I definitely want to start moving into scripted and films in another year or two.”

The second season of the Jersey Shore (which was filmed in Miami) premieres July 29.
