Chelsea Handler has done it again. The E! Entertainment comedian has finagled her way onto Playboy’s December cover. And this, from a woman who turned down “Dancing with the Stars,” because she thought the show was too tacky?
Chelsea, 34, appeared on “The Jay Leno Show” Wednesday, (Oct. 28) and was greet by a 10 foot tall version of the cover. It was the first time she’d seen it.
She told Jay Leno she quit drinking “for like a day and a half” to get in shape for the photo shoot.

The TV host and actress wears a bikini and a pair of knee-length boots in the cover shot. Whether she is fully nude inside is unknown.
Although Playboy is known for its nude photos, it ran a photo series of Heidi Montag recently in which she did not bare any of her private parts.
The magazine is taking a light-hearted approach to the issue. It says Handler will “offer crucial holiday entertaining tips and a meditation on how to paper over your myriad mistakes with vodka in the December issue of Playboy!”
She told Jay her father was going to love the photo spread “because he thinks” she is very sexual.
“Sounds almost creepy,” Leno replies.
When Chelsea was reluctant to look at her own cover, Jay interjected that she’s too used to getting what she wants and nobody cares what she wants and she needs. “What you need is a guy to say no.”
Chelsea shot back with her own brand of acerbic comedy. ”Oh really? Is that what I need? … This is a very interesting side of you, Jay. I think everybody has finally started to realize that you are exactly like David Letterman.”

Handler has performed nationwide as a stand-up comedian, appeared as a regular on the Oxygen Network series “Girls Behaving Badly” and on other shows.
She’s best known for her own late night talk show on E! titled “Chelsea Lately,” which draws about a half-million viewers nightly, considered good for a cable talk show — and for sleeping with the boss of her network.
She dated Ted Harbert, CEO of Comcast Entertainment Group, which oversees E! Entertainment Television, and reportedly broke up with him recently after they lived together for three years. She’s still rumored to be seeing him, but Chelsea laughs off the tabloid reports.
Handler, incidentally, was ranked No. 91 on the 2009 Maxim Hot 100 is of hottest celebrity women.
