Robert Pattinson subsisted on a bizarre diet of white bread and barbecue sauce for weeks while filming the drama “The Rover” in Australia.
Rob said his unusual diet attracted about “700 flies in the immediate vicinity,” according to the Daily Mail. Pattinson has never been a health buff, even though he worked out for his shirtless scenes in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2.”
For “Breaking Dawn,” Pattinson worked with celebrity fitness expert Harley Pasternak, who also trains Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson, Halle Berry, and Lady Gaga.
For his love scenes with Kristen Stewart in “Breaking Dawn 2,” Rob followed Pasternak’s 5-Factor Workout fitness program, and did a circuit-training workout five days a week for a minimum of 25 minutes.
“Each workout is made up of five phases, which should be done 20 times each and repeated in a circuit of four movements,” said Pasternak. “You need to train your whole body. You can’t do the same muscles every day.”
Robert also followed a meal plan where he consumes five small meals a day consisting of a low-fat protein, a healthy carbohydrate, fiber, a healthy fat and a sugar-free beverage.
Meanwhile, Pattinson’s performance in “The Rover” is earning raves, but the British hunk dismissed the hype with his characteristic self-deprecating humor.
“If I don’t like something, I don’t give a s**t about what the audience thinks anyway,” said Rob. “A friend of mine watched the movie last night and was like “Wow, this is the first time you’ve played yourself.”
As for Rob’s much-discussed love life, the 6-foot-1 blue-eyed hottie is reportedly completely over Kristen Stewart, with numerous press reports linking him to singer Katy Perry.
