In reality, there’s really no such thing as “anti-aging,” but there are creams and serums that can exfoliate your skin and give you a more glowing complexion.
People often say Asian women look younger than their years, but the truth is, most of them take really good care of their skin and use high-quality products to maintain their looks.
Here are my latest picks for anti-aging serums and creams that are inexpensive and effective:
- Vitamin C serum. I really like this serum and use it as my daily lotion. It doesn’t leave your skin greasy but moisturizes it pretty well. Studies show vitamin C stimulates collagen production and reduces fine lines. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, and when applied topically is 20 times more powerful than taking it orally.
- Vitamin B3 cream. Vitamin B3, which has been called “Botox in a bottle,” helps repairs the skin by improving blood flow to produce visibly softer, smoother skin.
- Bearberry extract. Bearberry extract is an effective way to gradually eliminate age spots, which all women get at some point because of free radicals and sun exposure. Bearberry extract works by slowing down the melanin-producing process. But you have to be careful using it, otherwise you could damage your skin with this powerful chemical peel. Also, be forewarned about the peeling. You’ll need plenty of moisturizer to ward off drying.
- Glycolic acid cream. Glycolic acid works by exfoliating the surface layer of your skin. Some people say this cream minimizes their pores and fades acne scars. Personally, I find it effective for gradually sloughing off old, dead skin.
I’m no beauty queen, but my skin is pretty good, thanks to careful maintenance. Keep in mind that no product can make you look 22. But you can look enhance what you have and look your best at any age by taking care of yourself.
