Lauren Conrad’s Wedding Weight Loss Diet: Low Carb Diet and Running

Lauren Conrad’s wedding weight loss routine includes a sensible low-carb diet, running and hiking, Examiner reported.

While many brides starve themselves and work out like crazy before their weddings, the laid-back Conrad insists she won’t go to extremes before she marries law student William Tell this fall.

“I’m not a huge fan of the gym, to be honest,” said Conrad. “I just like getting out, like going on a hike, going on the kayak, and going for a run on the beach.”

Lauren, who previously revealed she follows a low-carb diet, refuses to starve because she loves to eat. “I really love food,” she said. “I’m not good at dieting.”

Conrad said her usual diet consists of lots of vegetables, organic salad greens and lean protein like turkey and tuna.

Her exercise program includes an hour of weight-training and treadmill workouts twice a week. On alternate days, the formers “Hills” star hikes for 45 minutes in L.A.’s Runyon Canyon.

Lauren’s wedding dress will no doubt be elegant and gorgeous, since she’s a fashion designer with her own successful clothing line.

Conrad revealed her fashion tips in her bestselling book, Lauren Conrad Style, and her makeup and skincare secrets in Lauren Conrad Beauty.

Kim Kardashian and Jessica Simpson Went Low-Carb

Conrad’s relaxed wedding diet plan is diametrically opposed to the strict weight loss regimens followed by recent newlyweds Kim Kardashian and Jessica Simpson.

Kardashian followed a super-strict low-carb ketogenic-style Atkins diet that limited her daily carb intake to less than 60 grams. Kim credited her ketogenic regime for her stunning 56-pound weight loss in six months.

The low-carb, high-fat ketogenic diet accelerates weight loss by making your body burn fat (instead of glucose) for fuel, explained Dr. Jeff Volek, author of The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living.
