Chris Pratt lost 80 pounds in six months with a low carb Paleo-inspired diet and CrossFit workouts.

Pratt, who got ripped to shreds for the sci-fi action film, “Guardians of the Galaxy,” said his rigorous diet and exercise regimen transformed his body and his life.

“I totally embraced it,” said Chris. “I really just kind of cleaned up my diet and my life — it really just changed everything for me.”

The buff 6-foot-2 Pratt said his workouts included rigorous cardio exercise, weight-lifting, P90X and CrossFit. That, combined with a beer-free, low carb Paleo-style chiseled his body, Examiner reported. The Paleo diet is the most popular diet around today whose celebrity fans include Megan Fox, Kristin Cavallari and Tim McGraw, who credits Paleo and CrossFit for his incredible 40-pound weight loss.

Research suggests the Paleo diet accelerates weight loss, reduces blood pressure, and prevents cancer, diabetes, heart disease, depression, and even Alzheimer’s.

Paleo Diet Twice as Effective for Weight Loss

A recent study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition indicates the Paleo diet is twice as effective as other diets for promoting weight loss and reducing belly fat.

“Clinical trials have shown the Paleo diet is the optimum diet that can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, blood pressure, markers of inflammation, help with weight loss, reduce acne, promote optimum health and athletic performance,” said professor Loren Cordain, author of The Paleo Diet for Athletes and The Paleo Diet Cookbook.
