Jillian Michaels’ Anti-Aging Diet and Workout Secrets Revealed

Jillian Michaels stays fit with a healthy, balanced diet and regular exercise.

Jillian Michaels says she’s fitter at 41 than she was at 21, thanks to a healthy diet and rigorous workouts.

Michaels admits she hates to exercise, but hits the gym because she refuses to get fat and out of shape due to age, Examiner reported.

“I refuse to accept aging as a descent into decrepitude,” Jillian told Health. “And the irony is that at 40, I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been.”

Michaels, who has helped hundreds of people lose thousands of pounds over the years, said her weight loss secrets include fat-blasting treadmill workouts.

“Forget the elliptical,” she said. “It’s a waste of your time. Do incline walking instead. It’s way more effective and burns a hell of a lot more calories.”

The 5-foot-3 Jillian, who once weighed 175 pounds, has easily maintained her 50-pound weight loss with exercise and a healthy diet that eliminates processed junk foods.

Michaels said her best body part are her sculpted abs, and credits plank poses (such as side, extended and imbalanced) held for a full minute for her flat belly. Jillian revealed her fat blasting workout secrets in her fitness video, Jillian Michaels: 30 Day Shred.

Michaels, who was 50 pounds heavier as a kid, said her weight problems made her more sympathetic to overweight and obese people.

“I thank God every day for the exact life that I’ve had,” she said. “Having been that kid who was bullied has made me identify with the have-nots of the world. I understand what people are going through.”

Jillian said the person she would most like to train is Hillary Clinton. “I think she’s going to be the next president, and I’d like her to look good doing it.” said Michaels.

Jillian, who recently left “The Biggest Loser” after a major falling-out with producers, said the one beauty product she can’t live without is coconut oil.

“I use coconut oil for everything,” she said. “It’s antimicrobial, it’s anti-fungal, and it’s moisturizing.” Recent studies also show coconut oil aids weight loss.

The 5-foot-2 Michaels, who once tipped the scales at 175 pounds, has successfully maintained her 50-pound weight loss for 20 years. She revealed her diet and workout secrets in her bestseller, Slim for Life: My Insider Secrets.

Jillian, who’s raising two children with wife Heidi Rhoades, admits being openly gay has been a bit of a struggle because of some people’s non-acceptance of homosexuality.

“The gay thing has always been hard for me,” she said. “When Heidi and I are out and somebody older asks, ‘Are you sisters?’ I say, ‘We’re friends.’ I guess it comes from thinking that they will be shocked or disturbed.

“Look, I wish I had some strapping football player husband. It would be such a dream to be ‘normal’ like that, but I’m just not.”
