Armstrong, 43, married attorney John Bluher in April 2014, and is happier than ever.
Her former husband, Russell, killed himself by hanging in August 2011, shortly after Taylor had filed for divorce after alleging he had physically abused her.
Taylor detailed the domestic violence and her recovery from the trauma in her best-selling memoir, Hiding From Reality.
Shortly after Russell’s suicide, Taylor began drinking heavily to deal with her severe depression and unhappiness. She has since healed, thanks to therapy and the support of family and friends.
Taylor, who starred on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from season 1 to 3, left the reality show shortly after Russell’s suicide, but returns for season 5 as a recurring guest star.
Armstrong isn’t certain if she’ll return to RHOBH on a permanent basis, but is glad to film scenes with her close friend and co-star, Kyle Richards, author of Life Is Not a Reality Show.
Season 5 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which stars Lisa Vanderpump, Yolanda Foster, Eileen Davidson Kyle and Kim Richards and Lisa Rinna, premieres in January 2015.
