Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner both denied Kylie got lip injections, saying lip liner is behind her trout pout.

Kim Kardashian is annoyed by reports that little sister Kylie Jenner’s full lips are due to plastic surgery and vehemently denied Kylie got lip injections.

In a video interview (see below), Kim said Kylie’s lips are lush and beautiful because of MAC lip gloss, not surgery.

“Kylie only wears a lip liner, and then she fills it in with the same liner,” said. “She doesn’t wear lipstick or a gloss. She goes between M.A.C.’s Soar and Spice [pencils]. I use Stripdown.”

“She’s so good. She’s so good at makeup,” said Kim. “Every event, she only does it herself.”

Kardashian was responding to reports that Kylie got lip injections and other plastic surgery after showing off a dramatically different-looking face. But Kim said Kylie did not get plastic surgery.

Meanwhile, Kim has maintained her 56-pound weight loss by following the low carb, high-fat ketogenic style Atkins diet. For exercise, Kim strength-trained and did cardio workouts on the treadmill and elliptical trainer.

The ketogenic diet produces rapid weight loss because it forces the body to burn fat for fuel in a state called ketosis, said Dr. Eric Westman, author of Keto Clarity.

Colette Heimowitz, vice president of nutrition for Atkins Nutritionals, said Kim was an ideal client because she was so motivated. “She wanted to show the world she can do it,” said Heimowitz, author of The New Atkins Made Easy.

In addition to producing fast weight loss, the low carb ketogenic and Atkins diets have been touted for fighting depression and bipolar disorder. The weight loss and mood-enhancing benefits of the Atkins and ketogenic diets are not surprising to Dr. Jeff Volek, a dietitian and professor at Ohio State University.

Volek, author of the Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living, experienced a dramatic improvement in his own health and mood after switching a low-carb ketogenic diet 20 years ago.

“It was nothing short of an epiphany,” Dr. Volek told me in an exclusive interview. “I felt better, more satiated, and had more consistent energy.”
