“It feels nice to be husband and wife,” Angelina told Vanity Fair. “It does feel different.”
Jolie and Pitt married Pitt in August 2014 in a fairytale wedding ceremony at Chateau Miraval, their sprawling wine estate in Southern France. The couple met on the set of their 2004 blockbuster, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Angelina said her six children wrote the wedding vows, saying, “They did not expect us never to fight, but they made us promise to always say, ‘Sorry,’ if we do. So they said, ‘Do you?,’ and we said, ‘We do!’ ”
Jolie also addressed longstanding rumors that she may run for political office someday, saying “I am open” to pursuing politics.
“When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered,” said Jolie. “Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility.
“But I honestly don’t know in what role I would be more useful. I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible.”
Angelina, who has been a United Nations goodwill ambassador since 2001, revealed how charity work has totally changed her life in her memoir, Notes from My Travels.
