“We have more moments where I say, ‘I’m going to be a better wife,'” Jolie told the Today Show. “‘I’m going to learn to cook.’

And [Brad] says, ‘Oh, honey, know what you’re good at.’ But I do like, ‘No, no, no, I’m going to get this wife thing down.’ He knows my limitations and where I’m a good wife and a good mom.”

Angelina, who has previously admitted she’s a terrible cook, said marriage has changed her relationship with Brad for the better. angelina jolie cooking“It did change, in just a feeling of that security and comfort that we always had but recommitting after 10 years of being together,” said Jolie.

“We were fortunate enough to be in that unusual situation where got married with our children, and they were part of the ceremony and they wrote some of the vows.

“So, it was all of us agreeing to be together and to just commit to this life together—not because we had to, not because anything was missing in our lives—but because we were absolutely sure. We felt that much of a family and it was that moment. It was really lovely. It was a lovely day.”

Angelina married Brad in August 2014 in a fairytale wedding ceremony at Chateau Miraval, their sprawling wine estate in the South of France. The couple, who is the parents of six children, met on the set of their 2004 blockbuster, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Jolie is doing well after undergoing a preventive double mastectomy in February 2013 after genetic testing revealed she had an 87 percent chance of developing breast cancer and a 50 percent chance of contracting ovarian cancer.

As a result of her mastectomy, Angelina’s breast-cancer risk has dropped to under 5%. Jolie’s mother, aunt, uncle, grandmother and grandfather all died from cancer, forcing the Oscar winner to take the radical step of preemptively removing both her breasts.

Angelina, who has been a United Nations goodwill ambassador since 2001, discussed how her charity work has changed her outlook on life in Notes from My Travels.
