After a string of high-profile ex-boyfriends that included Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, Diaz has learned that timing plays a critical role in relationships.
“Timing is everything,” Cameron told Cosmopolitan. “If you get into a relationship where you want something the guy doesn’t want, it’s never gonna work. You’re never going to get him to be in that place.
“No matter how old you are, finding the guy who’s in the same place as you are and wants to show up is the only way a relationship works, period.”
Diaz, 42, said sometimes people make the mistake of repeatedly falling in love with the same type of person when that match may be bad for you, so it’s important to be self-aware.
“You make the same mistake over and over again until you learn your lesson,” said Cameron. “We girls sometimes do the thing where we pick the same person over and over again — they look and seem different, but deep down, they’re the same. And that’s on us.”
Cameron, who’s dating rocker Benji Madden, recently fueled engagement rumors after sporting what appears to be a diamond engagement ring, but she remains mum when asked if she’s getting married anytime soon.
Diaz, a longtime workout fanatic, maintains her hot bikini body by exercising daily, combining running, strength-training, and Pilates workouts and following a healthy low carb diet, Examiner reported.
Low carb diets promote rapid weight loss by forcing the body to burn fat fuel, said Jeff Volek, author of the Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living.
Obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity, agrees. Westman has helped hundreds of morbidly obese people lose thousands of pounds on the low carb ketogenic, Atkins and Paleo diets.
While most people dread getting older, Cameron embraces the aging process, insisting she’s only getting better with age.
“My ass is definitely higher than it was when I was 20,” said Diaz. “This is the thing that people don’t understand: Take care of your body [and it will] get better! It gets better as I get older.”
