Kim Kardashian can’t wait to have more kids, but was told by three different doctors that she would never get pregnant, Examiner reported.
“A few years ago I was told I could never get pregnant,” said Kardashian. “Three different doctors told me the same thing, which is why I wanted to have my eggs frozen. I was just about to do that when I found out I was pregnant with North.”
While Kim weathered a difficult pregnancy, she definitely wants to have more children with husband Kanye West. Kardashian said she’d consider in-vitro fertilization if she has trouble getting pregnant naturally.
“I want a boy and another girl,” said Kardashian. “I want it to start happening straightaway. I loved being part of a huge family – and I want that for North. We’d do IVF if nothing happens, but we both want to keep trying naturally.”
Kardashian said her recent controversial nude photospread for “Paper” magazine, was a way to celebrate her 56-pound weight loss before getting pregnant again.
Kim lost 56 pounds just six months after giving birth by following a low carb, ketogenic style Atkins diet that limited her daily carb intake to less than 60 grams.
The ketogenic diet produces rapid weight loss because it forces the body to burn fat for fuel in a state called ketosis, said Dr. Eric Westman, author of Keto Clarity.
Low carb diets accelerate weight loss without hunger, said Colette Heimowitz, author of The New Atkins Made Easy.
While Kardashian is celebrated for her voluptuous curves, she said it took years for her to embrace her body.
“It’s taken me a long time to be happy with my body and for my confidence to grow to what it is today,” said Kim. “I grew up when the body to have was the tall, slim, supermodel one, like Cindy Crawford’s. No one looked like me.”
Kim said dad, the late Robert Kardashian, helped boost her self-esteem during her rough teenage years,
“When I was 13 my father wrote me a letter,” said Kardashian. I was unhappy with my body – I developed really early. Every night I would sit in the bath and cry, I prayed my boobs would stop growing.”
Kim added: “He told me I had a body not many girls have, that later it would lead to attention from men, but that the most important thing was that I was a wonderful girl and I had to understand my self worth.”
