Pippa Middleton Doesn’t Get America’s Obsession With Kim Kardashian’s Booty

Middleton, a workout fanatic whose own shapely glutes garnered their fair share of attention, said Kim’s giant backside is a sight to behold but she doesn’t understand the American public’s neurotic preoccupation with it.

“The ‘Rear of 2014’ award undoubtedly goes to Kim Kardashian, after her posterior exploded all over the Internet last month,” Pippa wrote in the Spectator. “I must say that mine — though it has enjoyed fleeting fame — is not comparable.

“But the Kim butt story did make me pause. What is it with this American booty culture? It seems to me to be a form of obsession.”

Middleton was commenting on Kim Kardashian’s nude photo spread in Paper magazine, which generated countless headlines and comments.

While Kim get plenty of attention, Pippa said she’s not sure posing nude and exposing your butt is the best way to get it. “Kim’s aim, apparently, was to break the Internet, but I’m not sure she’s going the right way about it,” said Pippa.

Meanwhile, Middleton credits a portion-controlled low carb diet and regular workouts for her shapely glutes and hot bikini body. While many celebrities follow the low carb ketogenic, Atkins and Paleo diets, Middleton said she believes in moderation and follows her own sensible diet.

Low carb diets promote rapid weight loss because they force the body to fat for fuel, said Dr. Jeff Volek, author of the Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living.

One thing Pippa does do is work out 30 to 60 minutes several days a week: She runs, cycles, swims, plays tennis and does Pilates and yoga, Examiner reported.

Yoga is anti-aging, reduces stress and promotes natural weight loss, said Jennifer Aniston’s yoga teacher, Mandy Ingber, author of the bestseller, Yogalosophy: 28 Days to the Ultimate Mind-Body Makeover.

Middleton said exercise keeps her physically and emotionally fit. “I know that if I fit in at least three, ideally five, sessions of exercise a week, it boosts my mood and energy, and helps me sleep and digest better,” Pippa said. “So I make it a priority, whatever the weather or my work schedule.”
