Kourtney Kardashian Gives Birth: Her Post-Baby Weight Loss and Diet Secrets

Kourtney Kardashian shares how she lost 45 lbs in the latest issue of OK!Kourtney Kardashian is doing well after giving birth to her third child (her second son) on Dec. 14.

Interestingly, Dec. 14 is the birthday of her first son, Mason Disick, who’s now 5.

Kourtney, a longtime fitness fanatic, stayed healthy during her pregnancy by following an organic diet and doing yoga workouts.

Yoga promotes relaxation and natural weight loss by reducing stress, building lean muscles and suppressing appetite, Jennifer Aniston’s yoga teacher, Mandy Ingber, told me in an exclusive interview. Ingber is the author of the bestseller Yogalosophy.

Kourtney said she’ll spend the first two months after childbirth bonding with her newborn, but as she did with her two previous pregnancies, she’ll likely lose her baby weight in record time.

In 2013, Kourtney lost 44 pounds just six months after giving birth to her second child with an organic diet and daily workouts, Examiner reported.

The 5-foot-tall Kourtney, who slimmed down from 150 pounds to a svelte 106 pounds, ran or did calisthenics on the days she doesn’t work out with her trainer. On other days, Kardashian exercised at home using Tracy Anderson’s 90-minute dance-cardio workouts.

Anderson, who also trains Kim Kardashian, shared her diet and workout secrets for rapid weight loss in her bestseller, Tracy Anderson’s 30-Day Method.

Kourtney said not overeating is her biggest weight loss secret. It’s a philosophy she follows during pregnancy. “I don’t count calories,” said Kardashian. “I just try not to overeat and I keep portions down.”

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian is fitter than ever after losing 56 pounds on a low-carb, ketogenic-style Atkins diet that limited her daily carb intake to less than 60 grams. The 5-foot-3 Kim said she now weighs 125 pounds — five pounds less than her pre-baby weight.

The ketogenic diet accelerates weight loss by forcing your body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity. Kim said losing the baby weight was the hardest thing she had ever done, but something she’s the most proud of.
