Brooke Shields showed off her fit bikini body at 49 during a beach vacation in Mexico.
Shields has aged remarkably well (and naturally), thanks to a healthy, portion-controlled diet and yoga workouts.
Brooke’s yoga teacher, Mandy Ingber, revealed in an Examiner interview that yoga is anti-aging and promotes natural weight loss by reducing stress and suppressing appetite.
Ingber, author of Yogalosophy: 28 Days to the Ultimate Mind-Body Makeover, has practiced yoga with longtime friend Jennifer Aniston for more than 20 years.
Brooke said minimizing stress, daily exercise and a healthy diet are her anti-aging beauty secrets.
Despite being a star since childhood, the sheltered Shields lost her virginity at 22 to her Princeton classmate Dean Cain and was traumatized by her mom Teri’s lifelong alcohol.
Brooke made the revelations in her book, There Was a Little Girl, where she talks extensively about her complicated relationship with her mom/manager, Teri Shields, and her romances with celebrities like “Lois and Clark” hunk Dean Cain.
Shields, who had grown up overprotected thanks to her domineering mom, fell head over heels in love with Cain when they met as students at Princeton. Ever the gentleman, Dean did not try to rush Brooke into sex.
“[We were] always holding hands and trying to find ways to be alone and kiss, but poor guy, I made him wait,” Shields writes. “I think it was more tortuous for him because I was used to shutting that part [of me] off.”
After they had sex, Brooke had mixed feelings because of her strict upbringing and jumped out of bed, much to Dean’s surprise.
“I actually kind of tumbled off it and started running,” she writes in her memoir. “I was buck naked streaking down the hallway and running like I had just stolen someone’s wallet.”

Other parts of “There Was a Little Girl” deal with Brooke’s unhappiness over her mom’s alcoholism and nagging personality and her thoughts on childhood fame.
Shields previously discussed her harrowing postpartum depression in her 2006 bestseller, Down Came the Rain, where she revealed she had thoughts of suicide shortly after giving birth to daughter Rowan in 2003. Brooke overcame her postpartum depression with drugs and talk therapy.
Shields, now a happily married mother of two, has navigated childhood fame and the ups and downs of Hollywood while remaining a normal, centered person.
Brooke shares her thoughts on depression, success, happiness and love in her emotional memoir, There Was a Little Girl.
