Davis, 24, made the announcement Feb. 4 on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” where she called making the SI Swimsuit cover a “dream.”
“I’m shaking. Seriously, this is a dream come true,” Hannah told Fallon (see video). “I told my mom there was no way I’d get the cover, I told her, ‘They do beaches for covers and I’m on a farm. There’s no way. It’s not possible.'”
Before the big reveal, Jimmy joked, “The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is viewed by more 18 to 24 year olds than the Super Bowl. Except nobody locks the door before the Super Bowl!”
The athletic 5-foot-10 Davis, who weighs 125 pounds, was raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands and previously appeared in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues. Like most bikini models, Hannah’s fitness secrets are a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Davis typically follows a portion-controlled diet and does rigorous workouts, featuring lots of fat-burning cardio exercise and boxing.
Jeter retired in 2014 after winning five World Series championships. Derek discussed his iconic baseball career in his memoir, Jeter Unfiltered.
In making the cover of the SI Swimsuit issue, Hannah Davis succeeds two-time cover girl Kate Upton.

This year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue also made history for featuring plus-size model Ashley Graham in a bikini ad, Examiner reported.
“I know my curves are sexy and I want everyone else to know that theirs are too,” said Graham, 27. “There is no reason to hide, and every reason to flaunt.”
