Bindi Irwin inherited her ‘Crocodile Hunter’ dad Steve Irwin’s love for animals and adventure.

Bindi Irwin, the adorable 17-year-old daughter of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, is all grown up and gorgeous. Bindi looked beautiful in a black and white Instagram photo posted June 2.

Irwin, a vocal advocate of “young girls dressing their age,” expressed her thoughts about beauty and self-acceptance in the caption to her Instagram photo:

“To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself. ‘What you do, the way you think, makes you beautiful.’ – S. Westerfeld”

Bindi’s dad, Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, died during a tragic snorkeling accident in 2006, when Bindi was just 8 years old.

Like her famous dad, Bindi loves wildlife and conservation, and starred in a TV series called Bindi’s Wildlife Adventures. bindiDespite being famous from a young age, Bindi has not fallen prey to the pitfalls most young starlets have, and urged other young celebrities to cover up. Irwin said dressing too provocatively makes you look desperate, not sexy.

“I’m a big advocate for young girls dressing their age,” Irwin told News Corp Australia. “I look around at a lot of young girls that are my age and they’re always trying to dress older. Whether it’s wearing revealing clothes or hardly wearing any clothes at all, I feel really bad for them.”

Bindi added: “It kind of has the opposite effect in some ways – it kind of does the opposite where it makes you look younger and like you’re trying too hard.”
