Caitlyn Jenner is out and proud and posted an Instagram selfie with several transgender girlfriends, declaring, “Trans Is Beautiful.”
In the photo, Caitlyn and her friends pose with their backs to the camera at his Malibu mansion.
The former Bruce Jenner looks chic and stylish with her long hair, skinny jeans, sandals and a loose patterned top.
“Learn from those who have walked the path before you,” Jenner wrote in the caption to her Instagram photo. “#TransIsBeautiful #LivingOurTruth #JustTheBeginning.” Caitlyn is currently shooting more scenes for her upcoming docuseries, I Am Cait.
Despite tabloid reports to the contrary, Caitlyn insists she has not had penis removal surgery yet, Examiner reported. The former Bruce Jenner said she will likely get a surgical vagina sometime down the line.
Gender reassignment experts typically advise patients to wait at least a year after coming out before undergoing genital surgery, according to The Transgender Guidebook.
Caitlyn, who won an Olympic gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Olympics as Bruce Jenner, said she was inspired to go public with her transgender identity after reading about Renee Richards, who came out as a transgender woman in 1975.Renee Richards, who was born Richard Raskind, was a renowned eye surgeon and top amateur men’s tennis player until she transitioned to a woman after getting sex reassignment surgery in 1975.
In 1977, Renee sued the United States Tennis Association and won the right to compete as a professional female tennis player. Richards chronicled her incredible life and sex change transition in her memoir, Second Serve.
Meanwhile, Caitlyn Jenner made her first big public appearance at the 2015 ESPY Awards July 15, where she received ESPN’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award. “What the hell am I going to wear?” Jenner joked on Twitter.
