Jennifer Aniston, who’s famous for her glowing tan and lustrous hair, recently staged a tanning intervention for herself as part of her anti-aging beauty regimen.
“I gave myself a sun-tanning intervention a few years ago, where I was saying, ‘Let’s just quit while we’re ahead,’” Aniston told People. “I was not great as a kid with sunscreen. That’s one of my big regrets.”
Jennifer now uses sunscreen every day to combat wrinkles and age spots and avoids tanning after her self-intervention. “Now I use Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15,” said Aniston.
Jennifer added: “I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, then follow with the Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer. It keeps my skin so soft all day so I don’t have to keep reapplying.
“I’ll also use the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion after a morning shower. A top tip is to keep the dampness on your skin from the shower before applying as you’ll get even more hydration.”
Jennifer, whose anti-aging fitness and beauty secrets are a low-carb diet, running, meditation and yoga workouts, said looking her best at every age is important.

“We’re going to feel good about ourselves if we see another woman who is 50 and rocking it,” said Jennifer. “If society is telling you to sit it out after 40, you diminish yourself. Believe what you feel. If you feel crappy about yourself, it’s going to show.”
Aniston swears by Living Proof shampoos and conditioners, saying the products make her hair shiny, strong and healthy without damaging chemicals. Jennifer, who co-owns Living Proof, doesn’t wash her hair every day because of the drying effects of shampoo.
At 46, Jennifer looks fantastic, thanks to her longtime dedication to health and fitness. Aniston credits a low-carb diet and yoga workouts for her banging bikini body, Examiner reported.
“Our generation knows what we should put in our bodies, and that we shouldn’t be trashcans putting all sorts of crap in there,” said Aniston. “We know all the benefits of eating organic fruits and clean foods. We learned that smoking and sugar are the enemy.”
Low carb diets such as the ketogenic, Paleo and Atkins diets fuel rapid weight loss by forcing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.
Unlike other celebrities, Jennifer enjoys aging, saying this is the best time of her life, as Celebrity Health & Fitness previously reported.
“I’ve had more fun post-40 than I can remember,” said Aniston. “From a work point of view, a physical point of view, a psycho-therapeutic point of view.”
Aniston has practiced yoga for more than 20 years with Mandy Ingber, her longtime friend and yoga teacher, saying the meditative practice tones her body and calms her mind. “If yoga didn’t exist, I’d invent it,” said Jennifer.
Mandy, author of the bestseller, Yogalosophy: 28 Days to the Ultimate Mind-Body Makeover, has practiced yoga with Aniston for more than 20 years.
Jennifer’s anti-aging beauty secrets also include meditation, running and drinking lots of water. “I drink water endlessly, like five [bottles] a day,” she said. “Now it’s just such habit. There are so many lazy water drinkers!”
When asked what her weirdest beauty secret is, Jennifer laughed.
“The closest I’ll ever go is a Derma roller,” said Aniston. “Google it — it’s great. It’s a little wheel that has little pins, like acupuncture needles, and you roll it and it stimulates your collagen and allows for your products to seep into your skin.”
