Kourtney Kardashian showcased her ripped abs and dramatic post-baby weight loss in a new Instagram photo she posted June 18.
Kardashian, who now weighs 116 pounds, said her bikini body weight loss secrets are an organic diet, waist training, detox tea and rigorous exercise.
Kourtney, who gave birth in December 2014, previously lost 45 pounds shortly after her first two pregnancies, and has done it again a third time.
“She jumped on the the treadmill and lifted weights to get toned, and she drank a special kind of [detox] tea,” a source told Life & Style. “It clears the body of toxins and gives her energy to work out.”
Kourtney, a longtime fitness fanatic, stayed healthy during her pregnancy by following an organic diet and doing yoga workouts.
Experts say yoga promotes relaxation and natural weight loss by reducing stress, building lean muscles and suppressing appetite.
In 2013, Kourtney lost 45 pounds just six months after giving birth to her second child with an organic diet and daily workouts.
The 5-foot-tall Kourtney, who slimmed down from 150 pounds to a svelte 106 pounds, ran or did calisthenics on the days she doesn’t work out with her trainer. On other days, Kardashian exercised at home using Tracy Anderson’s fat-burning dance-cardio workouts.
Meanwhile, sister Kim Kardashian lost 56 pounds six months after giving birth to daughter North on a low-carb, ketogenic-style Atkins diet that limited her daily carb intake to less than 60 grams.
Low-carb diets such as the Atkins, Paleo and ketogenic diets accelerate weight loss by forcing your body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.
Kim, Khloe and Kourtney have also credited corset waisting training for flattening their bellies. Waist-training, or the “Corset Diet,” is a weight loss trend some women use to winnow down their midsection.
“This is a remarkable way to train your waist to be smaller,” said plastic surgeon Dr. Alexander Sinclair, who claims some of his patients have lost up to six inches.
Kim said she wore a waist trainer to bed every night to make her waist smaller ahead of her May 2014 wedding to Kanye West.
Waist training sounds drastic, but actress Jessica Alba credited wearing double corsets around the clock for three months for her dramatic post-baby weight loss after both her pregnancies.
