Pamela Anderson, who was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 2002, may soon be cured of the viral liver disease, thanks to a new FDA-approved drug.
Anderson, who has been managing Hepatitis C with a vegan diet, said a new drug her doctors prescribed has given her hope, Examiner reported.
“I could be Hep C-free within the month,” said Pamela. “Sixteen years ago that was as a death sentence. I think it really worked on my self-esteem. Even though I may have looked confident on the outside, it really was a dark cloud that lingered over me.”

Anderson, who has been a vegetarian since her teens, credited a vegan diet for helping her manage her disease.
“I have Hepatitis C and I feel great, which I think has a lot to do with my diet,” Pam said in 2010. “I feel better [following a vegan diet]. I always feel healthy.”
Anderson also credited a vegan diet for her sexy bikini body at 48. The busty 5-foot-7 Pamela weighs a sleek 115 pounds, thanks to her plant-based diet.
The anti-aging weight loss and health benefits of a vegan diet aren’t surprising to Dr. David Katz, director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center.
“A diet of minimally processed foods close to nature — predominantly plants — is decisively associated with health promotion and disease prevention,” said Katz, author of Disease-Proof.
Beyonce’s longtime fitness trainer, exercise physiologist Marcos Borges, agrees. The more greens you eat, the more weight you will lose, said Borges, author of The 22 Day Revolution.

Pamela said she’s lucky she hasn’t suffered any Hep C-induced liver damage over the years.
“I don’t have any liver damage and I don’t have any side effects,” said Anderson. “I’m living my life the way I want to but it could have eventually have caused me some problems and so it was a real blessing that I was able to get the medicine. I’m halfway there.”
Pamela recently wrote a coffee table book called Raw and is thrilled to share it with her fans. “I’m really excited,” said Anderson. “I feel good. I feel so blessed.”
