Khloe Kardashian attributed her recent 35-pound weight loss to waist training, a dairy-free diet and rigorous workouts.
Khloe’s waist looked tinier than ever in a recent Instagram photo she posted, where she gushed that she’s “obsessed” with waist training because it “keeps my waist snatched and posture perfect.”
Kardashian, who was once called “Sasquatch,” “Big Foot” and “ugly sister” by bullies, feels fantastic after her weight loss and credited rigorous exercise for making her look and feel her best.
“About two years ago I decided to turn to fitness as a form of therapy and as a stress reliever,” Khloe said on Instagram. “I started slow and eventually I started working out 4 to 5 days a week.”
In addition to rigorous workouts, Kardashian claims corset waist training has helped her get flat abs.
Khloe and her sisters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian also do corset waist training to flatten their abs and slim down their waistline, as Celebrity Health & Fitness previously reported.
Waist training (or the Corset Diet), is a weight loss trend some women use to winnow down their midsection.
“This is a remarkable way to train your waist to be smaller,” said plastic surgeon Dr. Alexander Sinclair, who claims some of his patients have lost up to six inches.
Khloe’s sister Kim said she wore a waist trainer to bed every night to make her waist smaller ahead of her May 24 wedding to Kanye West.
The measure sounds drastic, but actress Jessica Alba has credited wearing double corsets around the clock for three months for her dramatic weight loss after each of her two pregnancies.
Celebrity fitness expert Gunnar Peterson, who trains Khloe and her sister Kim, also gushed over Khloe’s dedication to exercise.
“Khloe’s a full-on animal in the gym,” said Gunnar. “No complaining, no b*tching. The changes she’s made [to her body] are incredible. She’s done it the right way. Nothing fast, just hard work.”
Peterson, creator of Gunnar’s Core Secrets fitness DVD, said Khloe’s workouts include cardio, plyometric pushups, hauling a sled, dead lifts, resistance bands and ab exercises. Kardashian also does Pilates and lots of squats.
