Janet Jackson shared the title track from “Unbreakable,” her first studio album in seven years, to gushing reception from adoring fans.
Janet recently kicked off her world tour (her first in four years) to trumpet her new album, Unbreakable, which has received glowing reviews.
Jackson, 50, worked with her longtime collaborators, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, on her new music to recapture her unique and sultry musical sound.
In the artwork for “Unbreakable,” Jackson looks gorgeous and healthy following her recent 60-pound weight loss.
The 5-foot-4 Janet, who once topped the scales at over 180 pounds, shed the weight on a low glycemic index diet, which is based on managing blood sugar levels, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
Jackson is a self-professed emotional overeater, who binged when she was unhappy, bored or anxious.
In her tell-all book, True You: A Journey to Finding and Loving Yourself, the Grammy winner said emotional eating is something many overweight people can relate to.
“I think people really connect with the idea of someone who has gained and lost weight in this very public way, and also someone who’s an emotional eater. Chocolate, cake, caramel apples—there aren’t many things I don’t love,” said Janet.
Jackson says she’s happy with her appearance and her improved health following her 60-pound weight loss. “I honestly don’t even know what size I am,” she said. “Now it’s about looking in the mirror and saying, ‘I feel good. I feel healthy.’ ”
