Former Olympic runner Suzy Favor Hamilton said manic depression and bipolar disorder fueled her dangerous slide into prostitution in her book, “Fast Girl.”
In 2012, Favor Hamilton raised eyebrows after admitting she had been worked as a $600-an-hour call girl while maintaining the façade of a happy suburban housewife and mom.
In her book, Fast Girl, Suzy said bipolar disorder made her hypersexual. To cope with her restlessness, Suzy became a high-priced call in Las Vegas, working as a prostitute named Kelly Lundy.
Favor Hamilton, 47, considered suicide after her call girl past was outed by the media. Suzy is healthy now, thanks to antidepressants, exercise and therapy.
Suzy, who competed as a middle-distance runner at the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Olympics, did not medal but won seven U.S. national titles. Favor Hamilton began working for the Las Vegas escort service, Haley Heston’s Private Collection, in December 2011 under the alias “Kelly Lundy.”
Favor Hamilton described herself as bisexual and open to doing threesomes with couples, Examiner reported.
Suzy charged $600 an hour as an escort and $6,000 for a 24-hour “GFE” (Girlfriend Experience). Suzy booked sex dates in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago and Houston.
Her profile description read, in part, as follows: “I am petite and very fit as I am a workout fanatic! I love to ski, run marathons, bike and hike and take great pride in taking care of my body … I wear a size 2.”
In a July 2012 review, a two-time client gushed over his sex dates with Favor Hamilton:
“She is worth every penny. I will go bankrupt before I stop seeing her. I hope no one else goes to see her, because I want her all to myself.”
Suzy described her escort work as “exciting,” saying it helped her cope with her brother’s 1999 suicide and the postpartum depression she felt after giving birth in 2005.
Favor Hamilton revealed in Fast Girl that she has suffered from depression since childhood and struggled with eating disorders since high school. In recent years, Suzy has been on antidepressants, which she said makes her “feel better than ever.”
