Mega-producer Shonda Rhimes is skinny and healthy after her eye-popping 127-pound weight loss.
Shonda, who had been obese her entire adult life, credited good old-fashioned diet and exercise for her incredible weight loss, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
“I changed everything I ate, and I hated all of that,” said Rhimes. “I hate exercising and I did that, too. I hated it the whole time. Once I decided it wasn’t gonna be fun, I lowered my expectations, and it got kind of easier.”
Shonda said she decided to overhaul her diet and start working out because she wants to be around for her two daughters.
“I just decided I was gonna get it together and get healthy,” said Rhimes. “I have some little kids and I want to be around for them.”
I had this really amazing ‘a-ha’ moment. I realized that I could spend my life thinking, ‘I wish I could lose weight,’ or ‘I’m going to,’ or ‘I’m trying to.’ I couldn’t be the whiner anymore.”
Rhimes jump-started her weight loss after deciding she won’t spend the rest of her life wishing she were thinner or healthier or had a better body. “I couldn’t be that person who like, ‘I wish I could, I wish I could,'” she said.
