Kourtney Kardashian showcased her flat abs and 45-pound post-baby weight loss on Instagram amid reports that her brother-in-law, Lamar Odom, is recovering from a coma caused by a drug overdose.
In a revealing Instagram selfie, Kourtney poses in an exercise room wearing workout apparel that spotlights her washboard abs.
“Working out is one of the only things that helps when I’m feeling anxious,” Kardashian wrote.
Kourtney, 36, has had a rough few months after breaking up with baby daddy Scott Disick in June 2015 following rumors of his alcoholism, drug abuse and cheating.
Disick reportedly checked into a rehab facility in Malibu, California, as Kardashian raises their three small children on her own.
As ex-boyfriend Scott languishes, Kardashian has been out and about in Hollywood, flaunting her hot body around town and on Instagram.
Kardashian lost 45 pounds shortly after giving birth to her third child. Kourtney’s weight loss secrets are an organic diet, yoga and waist training, Examiner reported.
Kourtney, a longtime fitness fanatic, stayed healthy during her pregnancy by following an organic diet and doing yoga workouts.
Yoga promotes natural weight loss by reducing stress, building lean muscles and suppressing appetite, said Christina Brown, author of The Yoga Bible.In 2013, Kourtney lost 44 pounds just six months after giving birth to her second child with an organic diet and daily workouts.
The 5-foot-tall Kourtney, who slimmed down from 150 pounds to a svelte 106 pounds, ran or did calisthenics on the days she didn’t work out with her trainer.
Meanwhile, Jessica Alba lost all her baby weight quickly with a low-carb Paleo-style diet, yoga and CrossFit workouts, as Celebrity Health & Fitness previously reported.
Low-carb diets such as the Atkins, Paleo and ketogenic diets accelerate weight loss by inducing your body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.
Kourtney, Khloe Kardashian and Jessica Alba have also credited corset waist training for flattening their bellies. Waist training, or the “Corset Diet,” is a weight loss trend some women use to winnow down their midsection.
“This is a remarkable way to train your waist to be smaller,” said plastic surgeon Dr. Alexander Sinclair, who claims some of his patients have lost up to six inches off their midsection.
Alba credited wearing tight, double corsets around the clock for three months for her dramatic post-baby weight loss after each of her two pregnancies.
Khloe Kardashian recently lost 35 pounds, thanks to waist training, rigorous exercise and a dairy-free diet.
Similarly, Brooke Burke Charvet said wearing a corset was responsible for her stunning post-baby weight loss after each of her four pregnancies.
“Wrapping your post-partum belly is a concept that has been around for centuries,” said Burke, who has her own line of belly wraps called Baboosh. “It helps the swelling of the uterus go back down to its original size and it supports all that baggy baby skin. It is a great, great way to get back in shape.”
