Pamela Anderson claims she’s now “cured” of Hepatitis C, and celebrated by posing nude on Instagram.
Anderson, who was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 2002, said she’s cured of the viral liver disease, thanks to a new FDA-approved drug regimen.
“I am CURED!!!” Pamela wrote on Instagram. “I just found out. I pray anyone living with Hep C can qualify or afford treatment. It will be more available soon. I know treatment is hard to get still.”
The cost of the new drug regimen is $75,000 to $100,000 per patient.
Anderson, who was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 2002, had been managing the inflammatory viral infection with a vegan diet, Examiner reported. Pamela was thrilled when she learned of a new drug that could rid her of the illness.
“Sixteen years ago that was as a death sentence,” said Anderson. “I think it really worked on my self-esteem. Even though I may have looked confident on the outside, it really was a dark cloud that lingered over me.”

Anderson said she got Hep C after sharing a dirty tattoo needle with ex-husband, Tommy Lee. Lee has denied the allegations.
If left untreated, Hepatitis C can cause liver cirrhosis, cancer, liver failure and death. Anderson, who has been a vegetarian since her teens, credited a vegan diet for helping her manage Hep C.
“I have Hepatitis C and I feel great, which I think has a lot to do with my diet,” Pam said in 2010. “I feel better [following a vegan diet]. I always feel healthy.”
Anderson also credited a vegan diet for her sexy bikini body at 48. The busty 5-foot-7 Pamela weighs a sleek 115 pounds, thanks to her plant-based diet, as Celebrity Health & Fitness has reported.

The anti-aging weight loss and health benefits of a vegan diet aren’t surprising to Dr. David Katz, director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center.
“A diet of minimally processed foods close to nature — predominantly plants — is decisively associated with health promotion and disease prevention,” said Katz, author of Disease-Proof.
Beyonce’s longtime fitness trainer, exercise physiologist Marcos Borges, agrees. The more greens you eat, the more weight you will lose, said Borges, author of The 22 Day Revolution.

Pamela said she’s lucky she hasn’t suffered any Hep C-induced liver damage over the years.
“I don’t have any liver damage and I don’t have any side effects,” said Anderson. “I’m living my life the way I want to but it could have eventually have caused me some problems and so it was a real blessing that I was able to get the medicine. I’m halfway there.”
Pamela recently wrote a coffee table book called Raw and is thrilled to share it with her fans. “I’m really excited,” said Anderson. “I feel good. I feel so blessed.”
